Adapting Marxism to the Chinese Context over the Party’s 100-year History

中国共产党的历史,就是一部马克思主义中国化的历史。以史为鉴、开创未来,必须深入研究和继续推进马克思主义中国化。贯通百年的马克思主义中国化,早期的开辟性探索创立了中国共产党,缔造了马克思主义中国化最重要的主体;新民主主义革命时期,在经历一段时间探索准备的基础上,实现了第一次飞跃,创立了新民主主义革命理论;新中国成立至今,在经过一个时期的奠基和准备后,创立了与时俱进的中国特色社会主义理论体系。在庆祝我们党百年华诞之际,需要深入认识马克思主义中国化的内涵及实质、马克思主义中国化在不同时期的各自特点、不同时期马克思主义中国化的共同经验。

The history of the Communist Party of China is about a history of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context.As we put conscious effort into learning from history to create a bright future,we must study it thoroughly and continue to adapt Marxism to the Chinese context.Looking back on the Party’s 100-year history,we can see that it was the early explorations of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context that gave birth to the Communist Party of China,the most important body of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context.During the period of the New Democratic Revolution,it was on a period of explorations that the Party created the theory of New Democratic Revolution,achieving its first leap in theory.Till today since the founding of New China,it is on a period of foundation and preparation that the Party,keeping up with the times,created the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics.While celebrating the centenary of the Party,we must develop a good grasp of the essence and implications of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context,both the distinctive and common features in the different periods of times.
