The Characteristics of Higher Engineering Education in Northwest United University and Its Historical Enlightenment

当前在我国倡导"立德树人"的背景下,"新工科"的提出将成为促进工程教育全面改革创新的突破口。"新工科"的建设实际是建立在中国多年来积累的实践人才不足、高技能人才缺乏、中国传统制造业面临重大挑战等问题之上的。无独有偶,西北联大在其处于特殊历史时期下的工程教育的人才培养目标、理念、方式和当前"新工科"时代的育人目标、人才培养特点具有一定的内在联系和相似性。西北联大高等工程教育具有极大的时代特征和历史价值,其所强调的工程教育结合实践、课程设置培养全面型人才等各方面的探索,成为当前工业4.0模式和中国制造2025计划下探求"新工科"发展路径的重要参考。

The proposal of"new engineering"will be the breakthrough to promote the comprehensive reform and innovation of engineering education,which is under the background of advocating"cultivating people by virtue"in China.The construction of"new engineering"is actually based on the questions such as the insufficient practical talents which has accumulated over the years in china,lack of highly skilled people,the significant challenges in China’s traditional manufacturing industry and so on.Similarly in history,during a particular period,Northwest United University has certain internal relation and similarity with the current"new engineering"when it comes to personnel training goals,ideas and methods.It is not only that the higher engineering education of Northwest United University has unique characteristics of The Times,but also great historical inspiration value has been involved at the same time.The exploration of which emphasizes on engineering education by combining practice and cultivating all-round talents,will be the important reference to explore the development path of"new engineering"under the current industry 4.0 model and the plan of made in China by 2025.
