With the aim of helping manufacturers and testing institutions better understand and implement the GB/T 38472-2023 Recycling Materials for Cast Aluminum Alloys,this paper analyzes the main differences between the old and new standards from the aspects of application scope,terminology and definitions,classification,requirements,test methods,inspection rules,labeling,and packaging etc.The implementation of the new standards will make the inspection rules more scientific and reasonable,improving the inspection efficiency of recycling materials for cast aluminum alloys.Relevant enterprises should strictly follow the new standards and requirements for quality control and prevent quality risks.And testing institutions should pay special attention to the revision of assessment indicators and test methods in the standards,and conduct necessary verification of the changed methods so as to accurately implement the new standards.
