科学术语“One Health”的汉语译名亟待规范

It is time to standardize the Chinese translation of scientific terminology"One Health"

“One Health”是当代全球治理,特别是全球公共卫生治理中一个日益重要的前沿性概念。它的核心精神是强调人类健康、动物界健康和包括生态系统的环境健康三者之间的紧密联系与相互依赖,以及相关治理的一体化路径。“One Health”一词在本世纪初被提出后,受到广泛关注和认同,相关国际组织正在积极推动各国将它从概念转化为行动。人类、动物界和生态环境健康的整体性与中国文化中人与自然和谐共生的理念殊途同归,与建设美丽健康中国的国家战略和2030年可持续发展议程高度契合,在中国得到积极响应。目前,“One Health”的汉语译名繁多,尚未统一。应用最多的是“同一健康”和“全健康”。两者不仅并存,而且常被混用。这种情况不利于“One Health”理念在中国的推广和相关科学研究与实践的发展。本文根据学界公认的翻译标准和“One Health”中文译名在国内外的应用情况对这两个译名进行分析比较,认为“同一健康”明显优于“全健康”,主张采用“同一健康”作为“One Health”的规范汉语译名。

"One Health"is an increasingly important and cutting-edge concept in contemporary global governance,especially in global public health governance.At its core,it emphasizes the close linkage and interdependence between human health,the health of the animal kingdom,and the health of the environment,including ecosystems,and the integrated pathways of related governance.Since"One Health"was coined in the early 21st century,it has received widespread attention and recognition,and relevant international organizations are actively promoting countries to transform it from concept to action.The holistic approach to human,animal,and environmental health aligns with the Chinese cultural concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.It is also highly compatible with the current national strategy of building a beautiful and healthy China and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development(SDGs),which have been positively responded to in China.Currently,the term"One Health"has numerous translations in Chinese,which have not yet been standardized.The most widely used are"tongyi jiankang"(同一健康)and"quan jiankang"(全健康).Both translations coexist and are often used interchangeably.This situation is not conducive to promoting the concept of"One Health"in China and developing related scientific research and practices.This paper analyses and compares the two translations according to the translation standards recognized by the academic community and the application of Chinese translations of"One Health"domestically and internationally,and concludes that."tongyi jiankang"(同一健康)is superior to"quan jiankang"(全健康)and advocates for the adoption of"tongyi jiankang"(同一健康)as a standard Chinese translation of“One Health”.
