互联网使用与居民养老意愿——基于CGSS数据的经验分析

How does Internet Use Affect the Long-Term Care Preference?

本文使用了2015年中国综合社会调查数据,实证研究了互联网使用对于我国城乡居民养老意愿的影响。将居民的养老意愿按养老模式的不同分为自我养老,子女养老,政府养老三种类型,本文的实证结果表明:互联网的使用显著地降低了居民选择子女养老模式的意愿,提高了居民选择政府养老的意愿。进一步的研究结果表明,互联网的使用对居民养老意愿的影响在城乡之间存在异质性,互联网的使用显著地提高了农村居民依靠自我养老的意愿。使用工具变量法克服内生性之后,上述结论依旧成立。本文从互联网应用入手,为分析老龄化背景下我国居民养老观念的变迁提供了一个技术层面的解读。

Based on CGSS 2015,the paper empirically analyzes how the use of Internet exerts effort on the long-term care preference of urban and rural residents.Self care,offspring care and government care are three categories divided by the paper.The empirical results reveal that the use of Internet reduces the residents’reliance on offspring care significantly,as well as increases the reliance on government care.Furthermore,the use of Internet influences the urban and rural residents differently,reflected by the use of Internet increases the rural residents’reliance on self care significantly.The above results are robust with theⅣregression.From the view of widespread Internet,the paper puts forward how the residents’preference of long-term care changes accompanying the technology under the background of the aging society.
