基于历时语料库的学术论文关键词翻译研究——以“文化自觉”英译为例

翻译规范、标引规范的学术论文关键词有利于中国论文的被检索和被引用,有助于中国学术的海外传播。创建来自核心期刊、CSSCI的"文化自觉"英文关键词历时(1997-2019)语料库,分析数据发现:未标引英文关键词的论文多于标引了英文关键词的论文;23年来标引的"文化自觉"英文关键词有33种,存在"翻译失范""标引失范"等问题。为促进学术论文关键词翻译及标引的规范化,译者要从语言文字、社会文化、学术规范等方面把好关键词英译的"关键"关,相关的期刊编辑、审稿人也要更重视关键词翻译、遵守英文关键词标引规范、对关键词英译文进行严格审查和把关。

Standardized translation and consistent indexing of key words in Chinese academic papers help in the papers’indexing,citing and overseas disseminating.By analyzing data from a diachronic corpora(1997-2019)designed for the English versions of keywords“文化自觉”from core journals and CSSCI journals,we found that papers without indexing English keywords largely outnumbered those indexing them,and that in the past 23 years 33 types of English versions for“文化自觉”had appeared,among which there existed problems like inaccurate translation and inconsistent indexing of them.To promote more standardized translation and consistent indexing of English keywords in Chinese academic papers,it is suggested that authors should play a key role in achieving high-quality English versions,taking linguistic factor,socio-cultural factor,academic norms,etc.into full consideration.Paper reviewers,journals’editors,etc.also should attach more importance to English translation of academic key words,observe indexing norms of English key words,and conduct strict supervision of the English versions.
