Japanese-British writer Kazuo Ishiguro's creation shows a remarkable“'life writing”characteristic, ref lecting the integration of Japanese culture, music background and self-subject consciousness. On the one hand,he bases his fragmented childhood in Nagasaki on scattered memories of his immigration experience in the 1950s.On the other hand, the rough course of his musical exploration in early years also shapes the narrative core of his novels. The archiving of Japanese memories and narration of regret for pursuing dreams constitute two autobiographical motivations for Kazuo Ishiguro's fiction, which has a cross-media connection with Japanese humanistic tradition films and many musical elements. The autobiographical motivation for Kazu0 Ishiguro's creation stems from his cross-media“life writing”.The interplay of images, music and texts not only reconstructs the memory space centered on Japan in his childhood, but also describes the living conditions of the general public in the context of modernity, showing his humanist conscience.
