The Communist Party of China’s Experiment, Popularization and Influence on Golden Queen Maize——Take ZHANG Ke-wei’s Introduction of Golden Queen Maize to Taihang Revolutionary Base Area as an Example

中国共产党自建立革命根据地以来,高度重视良种的试验与推广,引种、推广金皇后玉米是其中的典型代表事件。1941年,张克威将金皇后玉米引进太行革命根据地,并对其进行系统的试验与推广,实践验证金皇后玉米产量高、适应性强且口感和营养成分毫不逊色于当地主栽玉米品种,遂开始有计划地推广金皇后玉米。金皇后玉米在各革命根据地的早期推广,增加了革命根据地的粮食产量,帮助中国共产党人度过粮食短缺和经济困难时期,从而巩固了各个革命根据地的人民政权。中华人民共和国成立后,金皇后玉米在全国范围内获得广泛推广,并与农业合作化运动产生良性互动。一方面金皇后玉米的推广有赖于农业合作化运动提供的土地和资金优势,另一方面高产的金皇后玉米使农业合作社充分发挥其增产示范作用,助推了农业合作化的发展。

The Community Party of China has always attached great importance to the test and promotion of fine seeds,Golden Queen Maize is a typical example.In 1941,Zhang Ke-wei introduced the Golden Queen Maize to TAIHANG Revolutionary baseareas and Then he carried on a systematic test and promotion on it.It proved that the"Golden Queen"maize has high yield,strong adaptability,taste and nutrition are as good as the local maize varieties.Then he began a planned promotion of Golden Queen Maize.The early spread of the Golden Queen Maize in the revolutionary bases increased their grain production and helped them survive the difficult economic times,thus consolidating the regime in the revolutionary baseareas.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,The Golden Queen Maize is being promoted to 16 provinces and regions from Guangdong in the south to Heilongjiang in the north.The spread of the Golden Queen Maize depended on the advantages of land and capital provided by the agricultural cooperative movement.At the same time,the highyielding Golden Queen Maize has given full play to its exemplary role in increasing production,Boosted the development of agricultural cooperation.
