摘要
本研究以教育部2007年和2017年颁布的《大学英语课程教学要求》《大学英语教学指南》为依据,对2007年以来沈阳农业大学开展的大学英语课程体系改革实践加以分析,为高等农业院校大学外语课程建设提供相关经验。沈阳农业大学从2007年开始,将传统教学手段与现代教育技术相结合,开展大学英语课程体系改革研究,体系建设以课堂教学为主,逐步构建课堂教学+网络自学+第二课堂+业余培训"四位一体"教学模式。随着大学外语教学改革的深入及信息技术的迅猛发展,手机APP作为英语学习辅助手段走进外语教学,业余培训课程逐渐淡出外语课程体系。伴随高等院校人才培养方案的调整与优化,大学英语必修课总学时逐步削减,大学生外语学习实际需求有所转变,从2018年开始,大学外语课程体系新增设"大学中级英语""商务英语"及"雅思基础"等九门A类公共选修或限修课,至此,大学外语形成一年级必修课+二年级选修课+第二课堂+外文播音新型"四位一体"教学模式。随着国家新农科建设"三部曲"的奏响和新农科总体部署的不断推进,高等农业院校外语教学必将再次改革、创新,实现与新农科建设及专业人才培养的深度融合,对此,提出必修课+选修课+第二课堂+通专融合的大学英语"四位一体"创新模式设想,大学英语作为通识课程深度融入专业人才培养全过程,确保大学期间英语学习不断线,在培养大学生听、说、读、写、译语言技能的同时,增强其使用英语进行专业和学术交流的能力,为国家培养"精专业,通外语"的卓越农林人才。
Taking Shenyang Agricultural University as an example,and"College English Curriculum Requirements"issued by the Ministry of Education in 2007 and 2017 as a research basis,we made a deep empirical research on the construction of college English four-in-one curriculum system,so as to provide useful experience for other agriculture-related universities.Since 2007,Shenyang Agricultural University has been carrying out a research on academic reform of college English curriculum system with combining traditional teaching methods with modern educational technologies,the system has been constructed with classroom teaching as its main body,and has gradually developed into a new four-in-one teaching mode,namely"classroom teaching+online self-study+second classroom activities+after-class training courses".With the development of school teaching reform and the rapid development of digital products,after-class training courses have gradually faded out of the system,and various learning APPs for mobile phones,as auxiliary means of English learning,have applied to college English teaching system.With the regulation of college students’cultivation programs,the reduction of total hours for college English as a compulsory course,and the changes in students’actual needs for English learning,we have offered some elementary courses for IELTS,TOEFL,and business English,Intermediate&Advanced English,as well as English Public Speaking as new selective courses or compulsory courses for some limited majors since 2018,until then,another new college English curriculum system has formed by combining compulsory courses for the first year and selective courses for the second,namely another new four-in-one curriculum system of compulsory courses+selective courses+second class activities+foreign language broadcasting programs has been formed.Of course,with the development of our nation’s overall scheme in building a new agriculture,we are bound to reform and innovate the college English curriculum system to realize a deep integration of college English teaching into college students’cultivation in agricultural universities.With this goal in mind,we put up with a new curriculum system of compulsory courses+selective courses+second class activities+integration of general and professional education so as to secure a continuous learning of college English during university,cultivate students’language skills in listening,speaking,reading,writing and translating,enhance their ability to use English for professional and academic communication,and eventually realize the goal of cultivating agricultural talents for our country who are expert in majors and proficient in English.
