视频字幕研究及其对二语习得和教学的启示 被引量:6

Pedagogical and Acquisitional Implications from Recent Video Caption Research in SLA

摘要 近几十年来,视频字幕作为一种输入手段,引起众多研究者及二语教学人员的关注,成为许多实验研究及教学应用的焦点。视频字幕为语言学习者提供的是一种多媒体基础上的文字输入。由于语音、文字信息呈现的共时性,视频字幕除了起到输入作用外,还能通过各种技术手段,对视频材料的听觉部分起到输入加强或提供可理解输入的作用,因此对语言的加工、使用、习得起着重要的辅助作用。本文将针对视频字幕在二语习得及教学中的应用进行三个方面的讨论:一是总结目前二语习得领域已有的视频字幕加工实证研究;二是讨论视频字幕实证研究对汉语二语领域的实证研究的启示;三是探索视频字幕对汉语二语教学的启示。 In the last several decades,video caption(VC),as a means of input,has been attracting attention from researchers and second language teaching practitioners.It has become a focal area in research and teaching application.As we know,VC provides language learners with a kind of written input based on multimedia.Because of its simultaneous presentation of sound and text,VC not only provides audio-visual input,but also comprehensible input through various technical means.Therefore,VC is playing an important supporting role in cognitive processing,language use and acquisition.This article explores three aspects of VC research in second language acquisition(SLA)and second language teaching.First,it reviews existing VC empirical studies in the SLA field.Second,it discusses research gaps to be filled by VC empirical studies in the field of Chinese as a second language(CSL).Third,it explores pedagogical implications of VC in CSL classes.
