代际的延续与断裂:近代天津典当业里的山西人

Intergenerational Continuity and Crack:Shanxi People in the Pawn Industry in Modern Tianjin

山西人在近代天津典当业经营群体中占据着主导地位。作为天津商界重要而独特的群体,天津典当业中的山西人虽然与天津官商各界有着密切的联系,但是他们并没有真正融入近代天津社会当中。天津典当业在山西人的经营下一度辉煌,在近代天津城市社会经济急剧的变迁中,天津典当业中的山西人群体出现了代际变迁的现象,表现为群体中出现了新思想与新分子。但天津典当业中的山西人总体上没有完成新的代际转换,没有在剧烈的社会环境变化中孕育出现真正的下一代典当人群体。这使得近代天津典当业的山西人群体不能有效应对环境变迁带来的挑战,随着近代天津典当业在社会变迁中走向衰落,天津典当业中的山西人也湮没在历史的长河中。

Shanxi people in the modern Tianjin pawn business groups occupied a dominant position.As an important and unique group of business people in Tianjin,Shanxi people in Tianjin pawn industry had close relationship with Tianjin government officials and the businessmen,but they had not really integrated into modern Tianjin society.Tianjin pawn industry under the management of Shanxi people was once glory.In the rapid changes of the city social and economic changes in modern Tianjin,Shanxi people in Tianjin pawn industry appeared intergenerational change phenomenon.The performance was the new thought and the new member in the group.However,Shanxi people in Tianjin pawn industry generally did not complete the new generational change,did not give birth to the real next generation of pawn people groups in the dramatic changes of the social environment in modern Tianjin.Which made the modern Shanxi people could not effectively deal with the challenges of environmental change.With the decline of modern Tianjin pawn industry in the social changes,Shanxi people in Tianjin pawn industry also buried in the long river of history.
