摘要
本研究对"外教社杯"全国高校外语教学大赛开展全国性实证调查,在社会文化理论视角下探讨大赛对教师专业发展的影响。问卷及访谈结果显示,大赛提升了参赛教师的教师知识水平和教学能力,并在职业情感和发展意识、职业发展成果、职业发展途径三个维度对职业发展产生了积极影响;非参赛教师也认可大赛相关活动对其专业发展的促进作用。大赛在促进教师可持续发展和扩大赛事参与度上则有待改进。研究进而对大赛的后续优化策略提出建议。
Based on a nationwide empirical study on the SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest,this study analyzes how the contest influences EFL teachers’professional development from a sociocultural perspective.Questionnaire and interview results indicate that the contest improves contestants’teacher knowledge and teaching skills.The contest also promotes contestants’positive attitudes towards the profession,enhances their awareness of professional development,and contributes to professional development achievements and means.Teachers who have joined contest-related activities acknowledge the positive effect of such activities on their professional development.Meanwhile,the contest can be further improved to promote teachers’sustainable professional development and wider participation.The study finally offers suggestions for the future development of the contest.
