金融机构集聚对经济增长的空间溢出效应研究——以广东省为例

Spatial Spillover Effects of Agglomeration of Financial Institutions on Regional Economic Growth:A Case Study of Guangdong Province

本文基于广东省2006—2016年市域数据,构建空间计量模型实证研究我国金融机构集聚对经济增长的溢出效应,结果表明:广东省金融机构集聚和经济增长之间呈现显著的空间相关性。一是金融机构集聚对邻近地区经济增长存在显著的正向空间溢出效应;二是金融机构资产规模和金融运行效率的提升均有利于邻近地区经济增长,而金融机构数量会起到抑制作用;三是金融就业人数和投资对周边地区经济增长有促进作用,但统计上并不显著。基于上述研究结论,可以得出以下政策启示:一是政府应该加强区域间金融业务合作,充分发挥金融机构集聚区辐射效应,加快资源在区域间的自由流动,推动金融中心的发展;二是充分重视金融运行效率对经济的影响,提高资金的使用效率,加强金融对实体经济的支持和引领作用;三是注重金融人才培养,通过提高财经院校的研究经费和加强金融知识培训等途径提升金融业的人力资本,实现知识技术在区域间的交流与共享。

Based on the 2006—2016 city data of Guangdong Province,this paper constructs a spatial econometric model to empirically study the spillover effects of financial institutions in China on economic growth.The results show that there is a significant spatial correlation between the agglomeration of financial institutions in Guangdong Province and economic growth.First,the concentration of financial institutions has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on economic growth in neighboring regions;second,the increase in the size of financial institutions and the efficiency of financial operations are conducive to economic growth in neighboring regions,and the number of financial institutions will play a depressing role;It is the financial employment and investment that has contributed to the economic growth of the surrounding areas,but it is not statistically significant.Based on the above research conclusions,the following policy implications can be drawn:First,the government should strengthen inter-regional financial business cooperation,give full play to the radiation effects of financial institutions’agglomeration areas,accelerate the free flow of resources among regions,and promote the development of financial centers;Pay attention to the impact of financial operation efficiency on the economy,improve the efficiency of the use of funds,and strengthen the support and leading role of finance in the real economy.Third,focus on the cultivation of financial talents,improve financial resources by improving research funding for financial institutions and strengthening financial knowledge training.The human capital of the industry realizes the exchange and sharing of knowledge and technology between regions.
