考古学视域下的邓国地望新探

An Archaeological Perspective on Geographic Location of the Deng State

邓国是周代南土诸侯国之一,文献资料少,关于其地望学界争议较多。本文从考古学视域分析,西周晚期至春秋早期邓国都城在襄阳邓城城址东南侧的周家岗遗址。西周早、中期的邓国中心区缺乏实证,境土大致在南阳盆地中南部。

The state of Deng was one of the many vassal states in south China during the Zhou Dynasty.Due to the limited historic records on the Deng state,researchers have differed greatly in their opinions regarding the geographic location of Deng state.The present paper bases its arguments on archaeological findings,arguing that the Zhoujiagang site,located to the southeast of Dengcheng ruins in Xiangyang City,should have served as the capital city of Deng state during the late Western Zhou to early Spring and Autumn period.Although the hard evidence is still missing for locating the core zone of Deng state in the early to middle Western Zhou,the present paper argues that at the time,the Deng state likely delineated its territories in present-day central-south part of the Nanyang Basin.
