摘要
现代汉语常用的时间名词"现在"是一个来自汉译佛典的借词,在佛经翻译中对译梵文原典的同义并列结构。"现在"在中古佛典中就具有了时间名词的用法,但从中古至明代中期千余年的中土文献中见不到"现在"的用例,直到明末才又见于文献,并在清代中期完成了它的中国化历程而彻底融入了汉语。"现在"的中国化途径代表了一种不同于以往认识的佛典语言中国化。
The temporal noun"xiànzài(现在)"is a loanword appeared firstly in the Chinese Buddhist Scriptures(CBS),and is translated from various Sanskrit coordinate constructions consisting of two or more synonyms.Although"xiànzài(现在)"is used as a temporal noun in the CBS of the medieval times,it has never been spotted in Chinese domestic literature until the end of the Ming Dynasty.Not long after its re-appearing,"xianzai(现在)"has gone through the process of sinicization and becomes a totally Chinese word in the middle of the Qing Dynasty,which represents a new Sinicization pattern of the CBS language which is not recognized in previous studies.
