《国语》“魁陵”韦注疏证——兼论“块阜”“魁父”“?府”“瘣腐”非同源联绵词

A Textual Research of Kuiling in Guoyu——Also Arguing that Kuaifu,Kuifu,Kuifu and Huifu are not Cognate or Alliterative Words

《国语》“魁陵”之“魁”韦昭注为“小阜”,即小土丘,前人多有异议,或认为“魁”为假借字,或认为“小”是“川”之讹。通过考察“魁”的词义系统,文章认为“土丘”义是由其食勺义引申而来,“小”义由语境产生。“魁陵”同义并列复合,义为小土丘。《淮南子》“块(魁)阜”高诱注为“小山”,“魁陵”与“块(魁)阜”意义、语境及构词方式均同,韦注、高注异曲同工。前人异说不可信。“块阜”“魁父”“?府”“瘣腐”是一组异形词,并非如史杰鹏所说是同源联绵词。

The word Kui of kuiling in GuoYu was annotated as Xiaofu in ancient Chinese by Wei Zhao,which means earth mound.Some senior scholar disagreed with Wei Zhao.By reviewing the meanings of the word Kui,the author believes that Kui means earth mound since in HuaiNanZi Kuaifu was annotated as monticule by Gao You,and Kuiling and Kuaifu have the same meaning,context and word construction.Therefore,Wei Zhao’s annotation was the same as Gao You’s.Kuaifu,Kuifu,Kuifu and Huifu are not cognate and alliterative words as Shi Jiepeng said,but a group of heteromorphic words.
