基础研究对经济高质量发展影响研究:基于跨越中等收入陷阱的视角

Basic Research and High-Quality Economic Development: Based on the Perspective of Crossing the Middle Income Trap

基础研究与经济高质量发展之间的关系一直是学术界研究的重点,本文选取经济增长强度、经济增长合理化、经济增长外向性、人力资本以及生态资本作为经济高质量发展的评判维度,构建基础研究、科技创新能力和经济高质量发展的固定效应模型,并结合门限回归分析了不同基础研究投入程度导致科技创新对经济高质量发展效应的差异。研究发现:(1)科技创新和基础研究有助于区域经济高质量发展,且两者对经济高质量发展的促进作用稳健。(2)基础研究对于高质量经济发展的影响呈现倒"U"型关系,即基础研究投入在达到一定水平之前,对高质量经济发展存在促进作用;而越过极值之后,随着基础研究投入的增加,经济发展质量水平将降低。(3)基础研究与科技创新对高质量发展具有协同作用,且当基础研究投入量达到阈值时,科技创新对区域经济高质量发展的促进作用更强且更为显著。为此提出,在依托于提高科技创新推动经济高质量发展的同时要以针对性的基础研究投入作为支撑,进而更好地推动经济高质量发展,促进跨越中等收入陷阱。

The relationship between basic research and high-quality economic development has been the focus of academic research,this paper selects economic growth intensity,rationalization of economic growth,extraversion of economic growth,human capital and ecological capital as the evaluation dimensions of high-quality economic development,it constructs the fixed-effect model according to the basic research and technological innovation and high-quality economic development.Combined with the threshold regression,it analyzes the difference of the effect of technological innovation on high-quality economic development caused by different levels of basic research investment.The results show that:1)Technological innovation and basic research contribute to high-quality development of the regional economy,and the promotion of high-quality economic development is stable.2)The impact of basic research on high-quality economic development is"inverted U-shaped",that is to say,before the basic research input reaches a certain level,it has a promoting effect on high-quality economic development.After exceeding the extreme value,as the basic research input increases,the quality of economic development will decrease.3)Basic research and technological innovation have a synergistic effect on high-quality economic development.When the basic research investment reaches the threshold,technological innovation has a significant promoting effect on high-quality economic development.Therefore,it is proposed that targeted basic research should be taken as the support while counting on the improvement of technological innovation to promote high-quality economic development.So as to better promote high-quality economic development,eventually drive the growth of income levels and cross the middle income trap.
