基质存在于细胞内和细胞外 (细胞间 ) .细胞内基质也叫细胞液 ,由细胞膜包被 ;细胞外基质是细胞间质的重要组成部分 ,也叫细胞外液 .两者在形态学特征上均为无定形胶胨状 。

The stroma is between the intracell and extracell.The endocellular matrix is also called cytolymph covered by cytomembrane.The extracellular matrix is the important part to form intercellular substance and it is also called extracellular fluid.Both cytolymph and extracellular fluid are gelatun without fixed shape.They are similar in the form,so they are suitable to be called stroma.
