As an important task in the study of second language acquisition, vocabulary acquisition has become an issue of common concern. This paper discusses the spreading activation model, semantic meaning, and in-depth vocabulary acquisition and points out how the spreading activation model affects the in-depth vocabulary acquisition, intending to find an effective way of vocabulary learning.
