高校竞技体育既属于高校体育的提高部分 ,也属于国家竞技体育的组成部分。在社会体育中充当着双重角色 ,起着双重作用。为增强我国竞技体育国际竞争能力 ,尽快实现我国高校竞技体育走向世界大学生运动会及奥运争光战略目标 ,真正反映我国大学生整体素质和高等教育的育人力度 ,通过对高校竞技体育管理体制的实质、发展背景、发展现状及与美国高校竞技体育的比较分析 ,重新审视我国高校竞技体育管理体制及相关的深层问题。为培养高水平的国际一流运动员 ,为我国高校竞技体育管理体制的建设与发展提供参考。

Competitive sport in colleges and universities either belongs to the part of physical education in colleges and universities needed to improve, or belongs to the components of the national competitive sport, which plays two roles and has double effects on social sport. In order to strengthen the abilities of the Chinese athletes to compete in the world, to realize the strategic goals as soon as possible to enter into the World Universiade, to win honors in the Olympic Games, to actually reflect the entire quality of the Chinese students and the teaching level of the Chinese higher education, by comparing the essence, development background and current situation of the competitive sports administration system in Chinese colleges and universities with those in American colleges and universities, the competitive sports administrative system in the Chinese colleges and universities and the related deep-seated problems were reexamined. The purpose is to provide reference for the cultivation of first-class international high-level athletes and for the construction of the competitive sports administration system in Chinese colleges and universities.
