我国医学期刊英文摘要的几个问题

Problems in Writing English Abstracts in Medical Journals in China

通过对我国 2 0种医学期刊、3 0 0篇英文摘要的调查研究 ,发现存在一些问题影响论文的国际传播与交流。本文将其中主要问题归纳为四个方面 :篇幅、时态、语态、拼写 ,并通过对原文典型错误的分析 ,根据国外论文摘要写作的最新动态 ,论述了摘要的写作要点及注意问题 。

Abstract After reviewing three hundreds of English out of twenty medical journals in China,we have found some important factors that have an impact both on information exchange and implementation internationally.The main problems found are in the following aspects:the length,tense,voice,and spelling.By way of the sample mistake analysis,we attempt to give a clear account on some of the key points in English abstract writing.This article also reviews some technical writing methods currently used in other countries,and discusses the mistakes and challenges in English translation.We hope this study will encourage medical workers and editors to improve their English writing skills and accordingly improve the quality of the medical journals.
