回顾经典力学的发展历程,综述五十年来我国在分析力学的基本问题以及变分原理上的研究进展,展示了我国学者为推动分析力学学科发展作出的贡献。对若干重要事件和观点予以评价,对学科的未来发展予以展望。

With the review of the history of the classical dynamics and the summary of the progress of investigation on basic problems and variational principle in analytical mechanics,contributions in scientific development of analytical mechanics made by our authors were exbited.Comments on a number of important events and viewpoints on analytical mechanics and future development of the course were given.
