摘要
根据主/述位切分和翻译思维的特点 ,本文提出有时可以主/述位理论为基础来考虑翻译的单位。结构上 ,主/述位对句子有构建意义 ;语篇内 ,通过主/述位分析语篇衔接 ,确定句内信息的性质及其交际功能 ,有助于更好地理解原文。以主/述位作翻译单位对原文进行分析和转换是有效的。
Based on the theory of 'functional sentence perspective' and of translation as a thinking process, this essay suggests that theme/rheme be used as a translation unit. In structure, theme/rheme serves as a building block and, by means of analysis of communication function within the discourse, it provides a better understanding of the text. Therefore, as a unit of analysis and a unit of transformation in translation, theme/rheme has its advantages.
