Wei Xi was a great thinker during the late Ming dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. This paper, based on his friend-making, essay-writing, booking-reading, analyzes his progressiveness in the advanced intellectual class and his backwardness in the ruling class. The paper points out that Wei Xi and his thought should be accepted through criticism.
