摘要
推行通识教育是目前我国高水平研究型大学培养模式改革的核心内容,对培养拔尖创新人才至关重要。文章从教育的本质来认识通识教育的内涵及其在人才培养中的地位与作用,分析了专业教育与通识教育各自的功能及价值追求,回顾了美国大学通识教育的发展历程及我国大学通识教育的理念与实践探索,对我国大学推行通识教育的若干问题,如推行通识教育的环境、通识教育与专业教育的关系、通识教育的课程体系及教学方式等,进行了探讨。
General education is the core content of the reform in training model of China's high-level research universities and it is critical for training top-notch innovative talents.Starting with the nature of education,this paper intends to recognize the connotation of general education,the status and the role of training talents,analyzes the function and the value of their pursuit between the professional education and general education,reviews the development of general education in American universities as well as the concept,the practice,and the exploration of China's universities of general education,and discusses a number of general education issues,such as the implementation of the general education environment,the relationship between general education and professional education,the curricula and teaching methods of general education and so on.
