英汉数字鲜明地体现了民族文化的传统和特色,了解数字的文化内涵是翻译好数字习语的重要基础。本文就英汉数字词汇的文化内涵进行比较,从中找出不同文化中数字词语的内涵差异并介绍三种翻译方法,旨在提高数字翻译的准确性。

Numerical words reflect the traditions and characteristics of the Chinese culture and that of English-speaking countries.A good commanding of cultural connation of the numerical words is the basis of proper use of Chinese and English numerical idioms.Introducing three methods of translation,this paper intends to contrast cultural connation of English numerical words with that of Chinese numerical words to find out the difference between cultural connation of numerical words in different cultures with the aim of improving the accuracy of numerical words translation.
