摘要
依据Gardner和Lambert的动机理论,本研究通过对331名大学一、二年级学生的问卷调查发现,非英语专业大学生的英语学习动机分为两类八种,相比大二学生,大一学生中工具型动机更普遍,而融合型动机更强烈。为此,教师在教学中应善加引导,使学生能全面认识英语学习,提高学习兴趣。
The study intends to investigate the types of English learning motivations among non-English majors and the differences concerning learning motivations at different learning stages.According to Gardner and Lambert's motivation model,it categorizes English learning motivations into two groups including eight types through questionnaires among 331 students.It further finds out that instrumental motivation is more popular among freshmen than among sophomores while sophomores have stronger integrative motivation.Based on the findings,the author raises some suggestions about how to improve teaching methods.
