A Report on the Teaching of Common Courses of English Majors in Colleges

报道笔者对太原理工大学科外系大四学生所做的一次关于大学英语专业公共课教学现状的调查研究。内容涉及调查的基本思想、研究概述及调查结果的分析与讨论等方面。

This essay reports the author's investigation by questionnaire and interview into the present teaching of common required courses for English majors conducted to the seniors of the EST Department, TUT. The report covers such aspects as the basic guiding principles, a brief account of the study as well as the analysis and discussion of the results. The statistics and proposals gathered through the study may serve as reference for English teaching reform.
