English conventional poems are melodious and the rhythm functions as the cornerstone that constructs its verbal music. The present paper takes plentiful famous English conventional poems for example, and finally generalizes and induces, on the basis of the author's brief analysis, the primary patterns of English rhythm, and as a result, the paper provides readers with the theoretical and practical knowledge for their reading, writing and appreciating English conventional poems.
