This article introduces several major apparel totem patterns of the Yi from the perspective of the totem which help us understand the relationship between the history and the development of life and dressing habits in a different perspective.This paper promotes our understanding of the national culture and inspire us to use the Yi costume pattern in the modern fashion design.
