基于语料库的中国《政府工作报告》英译本词汇特征研究

A Corpus-based Study on Lexical Features in the English Translation of Report on the Work of the Government

基于语料库方法,本文对中国《政府工作报告》英译文和美国《国情咨文》的词汇特征进行了对比分析。研究结果表明,这两个功能相近的文本在词汇特征上存在差异。文章分析了差异产生的原因,并探讨了《政府工作报告》在词汇方面的翻译是否符合英语本族语者使用习惯并为他们所接受。最后根据研究结果对今后《政府工作报告》的翻译提出建议。

This paper compares the lexical features of the translated English versions of the Reports on the Work of the Government (RWGs) with those of the State of the Union Addresses of the United States in a corpus-based way. The results show that there are differences between these two functionally similar texts in this respect.
