摘要
本文区分出翻译的分析单位和转换单位,提出以小句作为翻译的转换单位。语言学家对英、汉语言的研究证明小句是最灵活的语言成分,文中以实例论证了小句作为转换单位的方便。
The author, by taking a textlinguistic approach, has proposed the clause for unit of transferin translation analysis, offering a clause-transfer theory with Jespersen's NEXUS as a complement.He believes that the? method works both ways in translation from Chinese to English and fromEnglish to Chinese.
