Research on improvement of electrode efficiency of water electrolysis on Ni-P electroless plating by appended RE

摘要 Research on rare earth(RE) improved electrolytic efficiency of water electrolysis by electrode based on Ni-P coating was discussed.The result of research proved that efficiency of water electrolysis of the electrode was dramatically improved when a few of RE were added in plating tank.Moreover,it showed that La appended in the tank was more effective than Ce appended in the tank.Besides that,this article illustrated positive impact of RE on process of plating as well as effect of RE on microstructure of the Ni-P coating,composition of the plating and corrosion resistance of surface of the coating.Furthermore,argumentation extended to it that RE alone and compound of La and Ce had effect on efficiency of hydrogen production by water electrolysis process.At the last part of the article,it was shown that a new mechanism was presented in a new angle being established in effect of RE on electron state of Ni plating.
