秋高云淡,天朗气清,在中华民族的传统节日中秋节来临之际,来自一百多个国家的近千名中外艺术家共聚中国的“北国春城”——长春。为期三天,2003中国长春国际雕塑大会于2003年9月8日落下了帷幕。 本次大会由国际雕塑论坛、雕塑作品邀请展、雕塑作品艺术展(中国现代雕塑名家作品展;中国新具象雕塑作品展;中国鲁迅美术学院优秀雕塑作品艺术展;中国北方雕塑艺术年度展;韩国雕塑作品艺术展;国外部分代表作品艺术展;非洲马孔德现代雕塑艺术作品展七个展区)、长春历届雕塑展方案图片展、雕塑摄影作品展等部分组成。 本次大会以弘扬雕塑艺术、推动国际间的文化交流。

2003 China Chuangchun International Sculpture Conference was finished on 8 Sept. 2003. The conference wax composed of International Sculpture Forum, Sculpture Works Invitation Exhibition, Sculpture Works Art Exhibition (China Contemporary Sculptors' Works Exhibition, China New Concrete Shape Sculpture Works Exhibition, Excellent Sculpture Works Exhibition of China Luxun Art Institute, China North Sculpture Art Annual Exhibition, Korea Sculpture Works Exhibition, Overseas Representative Works Art Exhibition, Africa Makonde Contemporary Art Works Exhibition, totally seven exhibition regions), Scheme Picture Exhibition of Changchun Annual Sculpture Exhibition. This conference aimed at carrying forward sculpture art, promoting international cultural exchange and strengthening domestic and overseas artists' connection and it was a whole line of academic discussion, an exchange and works exhibition, fully showing extensiveness and profoundness and endless attraction of sculpture art.
