The Textual Research on Weijing Academy in Shaanxi and Gansu

陕甘味经书院是清末关中四大书院之一,由官府倡议,责成地方士绅创办。在建立、运行过程中,地方士绅与官员给予了大量物资支持。该书院在办学方式、方针,以及教学方法上均体现了对传统书院体制的改革,尤其是书院独特的课程设置,使学生学习了更多的"新学"与自然科学。书院山长教士有方,尽职尽责,在教法、禁约与学规方面承前启后。从建立到被合并,味经书院造就了大批的人才,引领了陕西教育的发展脚步。

Weijing Academy was one of the four major academies in Guanzhong area.It was proposed by feudal officials and instructed by the local gentry.In the process of setting up and running, local gentry and officials gave it a great deal of material support.This academy reflected the reform for the traditional academy system,such as conducting modes,principles and teaching methods.Especially,the unique academic curriculum made students learn more new knowledge and sciences.The rectors in the academy did their best and reformed teaching methods,forbidden conventions and learning rules.From its establishment to merger,Weijing Academy cultivated a large quantity of talents and led the development of education in Shaanxi province.
