论族群不能取代民族

Nationality Cannot be Replaced by Ethnic Group

针对近年来学术界部分学者提出的以"族群"取代"民族"的学术主张,本文着重从中文情景中对"族群"、"民族"含义的理解切入,以另一种思维模式,从四个方面探讨了"族群"与"民族"的关系,认为族群不能等同于民族,不能与民族互换,更谈不上取代民族。

Based on the connotation of the Chinese characters 'Zuqun' and 'Minzu', this paper discusses the relationship between 'ethnic group' and 'nationality' from four aspects. It is pointed out in this paper that ethnic group cannot be identified with nationality and they cannot be interchanged either, let alone ethnic group is replaced by nationality.
