摘要
As China’s shipbuilding capacity grows, China’s shipbuilding output is expected tobecome the largest in the world, overtaking Japan and South Korea. However, the tradi-tional shipbuilding powers including Japan, South Korea, EU and America have al-ready begun to control the scale of their own shipbuilding yards. By contrast, China isseeking to expand shipbuilding industry. From Japan’s perspective, if China’s ambi-tious plan of enlargement of shipbuilding capacity is fully materialized, the depressionof the world shipbuilding industry will be inevitable with oversupply. According to thisview, the potential world shipbuilding power has to prepare well for the risks and chal-lenges ahead.
