John Fowles made a name for himself by The Collector, a story about a bloodthirsty butterfly collector who imprisoned and killed a girl. From an ecofeminist perspective, this paper aims to explore the implied ecological awareness, feminist awareness and strong significance of social criticism by analysing the root cause of the similar tragedy of Miranda and butterflies.
