This paper puts forward the necessity of low voltags reactive power compensation after rural network retrofit, and discusses the way of compensation. Two examples of local reactive power balancing are introduced in detail, and the effects of reduced loss are analyzed. It is pointed out that under the new situation, the focal point of reactive power compensation for the power supply enterprises of county - level should be taken in low vohags power network.
