Semiotics is considered to be one of the focuses of research in modern humane studies. This paper, from the angles of linguistics and philosophy, looks back upon three sources of the modern semiotics and finds that either semiotics or any other research field should broaden its horizons, trying to seek new breakthrough points for further study.
