How to build the English language specialty and how to make it special in the science-engineering-oriented colleges and universities are the two problems concerned by the English language teachers. With the aid of revising the teaching plan, some measures have been taken, such as building up course-groups with their special focuses on different specialties, increasing the hours spent on language practice and optimizing grouping or regrouping the courses offered in the teaching plan. The idea of making the output of the knowledge better by way of bettering the input of the knowledge makes the knowledge input transformed into the integrative capacities of the students, which profits a lot to English language teaching and learning.
