An introduction is given to construction of an underpass in Chengdu, including construction technology for water-abundant sand and cobble stratum, that stability characteristics of sand and cobble stratum, and cut and cover technology and non cut and cover technology. Opinions and recommendations were given on underground work construction and its development in Chengdu.
