The Ming Dynasty is a period in which the towns and country fairs of Hainan got fast developed. This paper makes a study on the causes, general situation and characteristics of Hainan towns and country fairs. It argues that the reasons are government's value, political prosperity and economical development, bandits and the influence of Central Plains. $$$$
