An Interactive Virtual Assembly Environment Based on VRML and JAVA

虚拟现实建模语言(VRML)作为构建网络虚拟现实的国际标准,其应用得到了越来越多的关注。该文讨论了VRML虚拟场景与外界交互的手段和方法,着重研究了通过VRML外部编程接口EAI利用JavaApplet来实现交互式网络虚拟装配环境的方法和实现过程,并给出了运行实例,通过该平台可以实现异地设计信息交流。

Virtual reality modeling language as the internal standards of virtual reality on internet has got more and more attention. This paper introduces the interactive methods of the virtual reality world and outside world, the method of using the EAI and Java Applet to realize an interactive internet virtual assembly environment has been researched and the running example has been given. Using this system we can exchange the design messages with other people through the internet.
