Where Do Studies on Social History Go?

社会史研究经过近二十年的发展,已取得了丰硕的成果,在所谓历史人类学或区域社会史的标志下,不仅体现出一些扎实的新进展,而且在方法论取向上建立了与国际学术界和相邻学科对话的平台。但是,关于社会史今后的开展,还需要从学术史的脉络加以厘清,以便从新旧观念错综交糅的混乱中认清方向;需要对传统史学、对曾与社会史相对立的政治史研究主题进行认真反思,思考其与社会史的关系;还需要思考社会史研究的方式与表达途径等问题。这些,都是今后的社会史研究需要认真对待的。

Studies on social history has achieved considerable fruits in the past twenty years, but as for its future, the developing direction should be made clear. Its relationship with traditional historiography and more profoundly rethinking should be given to the study of political history. In addition, the way and expressive approach of studies on social history and other problems should be taken into account. These are all that need serious thinking in the future researches.
