环境考古学作为一门学科首先是一种思想意识，然后将特定的理论和方法贯彻到考古发掘的方案设计，资料的提取、整理、分析和解释的每一个阶段。人与环境的相互作用，是环境考古学贯彻始终的灵魂。
：As a kind of discipline, environment archaeology firstly is a kind of thought, and then applies specific theory and method to every phrase of archaeology excavation such as plan, collection, collation, analysis and explanation of data.
