Ultrafine amorphous Ni(73)P(11)B(16) alloy particles with the size in the range of 20-60 nm were prepared by the reaction of NiCl2 with KBH4 and NaH2PO2 in a aqueous solution.The fresh and heat-treated samples were characterized by TEM and XRD.It is shown that the NiPB alloy has a higher amorphous structural stability than NiP and NiB due to the coexistance of P and B.
