当光束在雨中传输时,由于雨滴的下落运动,在接收平面上形成各个衍射条纹的移动,引起探测器上的光强发生涨落,这种现象叫"闪烁"。利用这种光强闪烁,可以测量降水强度。
When a light beam passes through rains, the movement of the diffraction patterns in the receiving plane induced by the movement of raindrops produces the fluctuating intensity. This phenomenon has been known as 'scintillation'. We can measure rain rates by the optical scintillation.
