摘要 在分析煤炭的战略地位和利用背景的基础上,根据国内外专家的基本共识,将煤的优化利用技术分为煤的燃前、煤的燃中、煤的燃后、煤的转化和煤层气利用及煤系废弃物处理与利用五个分支领域。笔者认为,煤的结构和反应性,煤和煤岩显微组分的热物理及热化学性质,煤转化过程中的催化作用和催化剂,煤中硫、氮及其它污染物的赋存形态和生成机理,全能量利用系统基础研究等是这些分支领域中具有共同性的重要科学问题。本文还提出了分支领域中的局部性基础科学问题。 Coal currently provides about 30 and 75percent of total world and of total China energy requirements. Morever,coal is likely to continue to do so in the next few decades. Coal is also a main material of chemical industry in China.About 64 percent of synthetic ammonia and a half of PVC are made of coal. To meetthe challenges of energy security,sustainable economic development and enviromen-tal protection,the worldwide energy community needs an ever improving scientific-and technological understanding of the production and use of coal. The existing and emerging processes and technologies of coal conversion and u-tilization of coal are summarised and classified as five branches in this paper. They include technologies of before,in and after coal combustion,coal conversion and uti-lization of coalbed methane and the waste derived from coal.In the development of advanced Coal conversion and utilization of coal there are two types of scientific subjects,general and specific. The following scientific sub-jects and problems are general and essential.·Coal Structure and Reactivity·Thermophysical and Themochemical Properties of Coals and Coal Macerals·Catalysis and Catalysts in Coal Conversion·presenting Form of Sulfur,Nitrogen and Trace Elements in Coal and Pro-duction Mechanism of Pollutant Substances·Theoretical Problems in Total Energy System·Fundamentals of High-temperature Gas-cooled Reactor Industry
