城市群的演进及其特征分析

城市群是当今经济社会活动的重要空间形态和主流发展趋势。文章简要论述并分析了城市群形成与演进的历史及其必然性 ,从地域分工和区位选择的视角对其进行了理论阐释 ;重点分析了城市群的两个基本特性 :内在有机性和能级均衡性 ,认为城市群不同于自然地理意义上的城市聚集 ,而具有新的质的规定性 ;在理论分析的基础上 ,以城市间相互作用为分析工具 。

Agglomerations are important spatial forms and main developing tendency of economic and social activities nowadays. This paper provided a theoretical explanation for the origin and evolution of agglomerations from the perspectives of regional division and location selection. It highlighted two basic characteristics of agglomerations: organic inherence and equilibrium. Agglomerations are not just a collection of cities in geographical sense, but have their own features and regularities. By analyzing the interactions among cities as the starting point, this paper discussed the methods of determining the scale and boundary of an agglomeration.
